The Silicon Metal Furnace at Shaanxi Heyuan is a big step forward in the way metallurgical silicon is made. It is intended to turn high-quality sandstone into industrial silicon through carbothermic reduction. Our high-end furnaces work very well, recovering up to 90% of the silicon used in metalworking and making products with Si levels of up to 98.5%. These furnaces can work at very high temperatures of 1900°C to 2200°C and have capacities ranging from 25MVA to 125MVA. They can also be set up in any way the user wants. Our product solutions meet the strict needs of the aluminum metal, silicone chemical, and solar industries around the world. They use up to 12,000 kWh of power per ton of silicon and can run for more than 8,000 hours a year.

Advanced Silicon Smelting Technology

Our products use state-of-the-art buried arc technology that was designed to make silicon at high temperatures. Concentrated high-temperature reaction zones make sure that the reduction process works as well as it can while keeping the temperature under tight control during the smelting process.

Because the oven is shut, dust emissions are kept to ≤10mg/m³, which meets strict environmental protection standards. Electrodes with diameters between 600 mm and 1200 mm offer higher current capacities and better operating stability.
